[farcry-dev] quick bread crumb question

I don't know if i've missed this or if it's possible so if someone can 
point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it.

What I want to know is can custom objects have more than just home as 
their ancestor?

In my site you go down one or two levels then hit a custom object and 
the bread crumb only shows home and it's title?
