Might be handy if <cfset request.cfdumpinited = false> was thrown in at:
/farcry_core/packages/types/types.cfc (line 61)
and maybe
/farcry_core/packages/rules/container.cfc (line 222)
(line numbering for v2 build)
A quick search shows quite a few occurences of <cfdump var="#cfcatch#"> throughout code, so this might be useful elsewhere also...
