Since the /applicationName is a virtual directory, it is not accessible with FTP. In other words, if I ftp into my account, I cannot see /applicationName directory even though I know it exists (i.e, virtual directory).

So, my question is, do I need FTP access to this directory OR all template files are managed from the FarCry admin interface?

I'd suggest the FTP account home should be the application root for the project.

The webroot of the application is going to be something like:
c:\inetpub\applications\applicationName\www

The application root will be:
c:\inetpub\applications\applicationName

That way the developer has access to all the appropriate directories for modifying the presentation layer and customising the app.

FarCry has been specifically designed such that the farcry_core and fourq directories should never need to be accessed by a developer working on a specific farcry_app.

Hope that helps,
