That looks like a problem with Verity in general. I'd be making sure that Verity worked in Cold Fusion first and then come back to FarCry.
FarCry doesn't do much more than execute a query against one of the dmType-based tables and then passing it to the <CFINDEX> tag. The other thing is..... make sure what you are indexing has something to index in it. The one status line printed out (for dmNews) had no records in it. Verity (or the CF interface) might not like this. Are you able to build Verity search collections normally ?
