MySQL table names are represented by the operating system filename (for instance, the dmHTML table is represented the files dmHTML.frm dmHTML.MYD and dmHTML.MYI).. so in an OS with case-sensitive filenames (e.g. linux) you will also get case sensitive table names in your queries

my only guess for the reasoning of this is to make queries cheaper by not having check all the files in the database directory to see if their lowercase (uppercase) name corresponds to the lowercase (uppercase) table name in the query... it just tries to map the query's table name to the file system

we did a bit of work a little while back to try and make sure there are no inconsistencies in the MySQL queries in FarCry (that's also what my post earlier today was related to)....

Is the problem you're having from a query you're running manually, or is it generated from FarCry?

Cheers
