Thanks again, looks like it will have to be option 1.
I guess I could put some conditional code around the stApps in apps.cfm to select my required app.
Something simple like a URL parameter setting a session var to select.

Two options:
1. Just edit the apps.cfm file when you want to test the Admin between the different sites (i.e. comment out all but the one site you want to admin)
2. Edit your HOSTS (%windows%/system32/drivers/etc) file to create new hosts that all map to 127.0.0.1
The main issue with the latter is that you will eventually have to re-edit the HOSTS file if that same machine is what you use to connect to the net with (because your HOSTS file will override the real internet addresses).
