The primary enhancement is the ability to extend any core content type. This includes dmHTML, dmNews, etc. However, the main driver for this has been the desire of many folks to extend dmProfile. Generic Admin, and a bunch of things have been tweaked, bug fixes etc. Brendan will have a more comprehensive list ready to go with the release.
It's a point release only, there is an updater for folks on 2.0. The updater runs smoothly and is a painless exercise we've done in production serveral times already. I'd say install to dev now -- the upgrade to 2.1 should be very straightforward.
In any event, I believe our timetable for a public beta release is next week. With a final release before we break for Christmas on the 19/12.
