Yes it absolutely is. FarCry is specifically designed to be ultra-extendable.
Check out the how-to "Custom Types - a walkthrough": http://farcry.daemon.com.au/go/documentation/developers/how-to
2. Is it possible to setup Farcry to use NT Security for logins instead of it's own internal user management? If so how do I do this?
NT Security? I'm not sure that works out of the box. You can certainly do ActiveDirectory using the underlying CFMX connectivity. We have several clients running in this scenario.
In fact you can mix and match User directories... for instance you might have developers and admins on a standard FarCRy User directory and the the users all being authenticated from ActiveDirectory.
How to do this... hmm.. no how-to on this just yet. We'll have to have a look at releasing at least some code snippets on this.
3. Is it possible to create a contributor account that has access to only one node in a web site? If so how do I do this?
Yep all this is easy stuff straight out of the box. Have a look at pg19 of the current admin guide. It's prolly a little bit simplistic but will give you a better idea of where to start.
Current location of the guide is: http://farcry.daemon.com.au/go/documentation/developers/admin-guide
(I think i might change this though -- its really user oriented and not developer oriented)
