Yeah, what the manual said too - I was hoping that had changed in v2.x Anyhoo, my user is not getting 'challenged' - can still edit a page in what should be blocked.

Setting permissions on navigation items doesn't make the items disappear. I have been expirimenting with some navigation items that only appear if the user has the permission - but this is not a "generic" solution.
