Cheers,

I will have a look at how Pollster 1.0 and Pollster 2.0 differ and send you an updated rule for Pollster 2.0.

When you say under your webroot of my application.. currently I am running the following config..

C:\Inetpub\applications\farcry_reed\

I have just been placiing the Pollster app under:

C:\Inetpub\

Which works AOK, but doesnt hive it off to each FC app I may be running...no matter if it is, just wanted to ensure what setup you did for testing :-)

Neil,

I have no idea how Pollster differs from Pollster 1.0 but the integration should be basically the same.

Have you been through the Pollster 1.0 integration how-to?

It's worth noting that the publishing rule makes a simple call on the Pollster database -- obviously if they changed their schema between versions there is no way on earth its going to work without modification.

Re the placement of the pollster folder -- put it under the webroot of your application as per the standard pollster installation instructions. All I did with the last version was modify the Pollster Application.cfm page to check for a FarCry session variable and commented out the basic authenitcation security.

OK,

I am still unsure on what the deal is with setting up the Pollster 2.0 (shipped with DRK5) application in FarCry... hopefully someone from DM can help...it seems that the site only caters for Pollster 1.0.

I have successfully installed the demo app outside my applications folder for testing and it works AOK as expected.

I was not sure where to move it to regarding FarCry so I placed it into farcry_core/admin/pollster (which I believe to be wrong as it would be far better and more logical to be in my farcry_reed application folder)....so if someone can help on this I would appreciate it.

I can now edit/create a pollster app from with the admin site, however the code which allows you to login listed on the farcry website doesn't work as the session scope vars listed in the code never exist even when logged in....

The rule has been installed and applied however an error occurs when editing the Container Content the following error appears :

Element COMPONENTPATH is undefined in APPLICATION.

The Rule seems to apply but you the Class object outputted has no ID...I know the rule basically works etc, as I hardcoded the ID in the object and it works AOK...

My guess is that the pollster CFC/Rule does not cater for Pollster 2.0...

Anyone like to confirm/offer adice...especially on where to place pollster folder.

Thanks

Neil
