I suppose the problem you could have with forcing constraints is that they can behave differently on each RDBMS or have adverse effects on things like each servers QPE.

We don't enforce any constraints by default. However, depending on your application and the data it houses is might be worthwhile optimising the schema for better performance. In fact our DBA is working on a technote talking to exactly this issue.

We'll release it as soon as it's done.
