The site itself was "in the making" for a long time... about 11.5 weeks of elapsed time in fact!.... made up of meetings, research, usability and content workshops, a black and white prototype, Design, CSS, Farcry templates, a Style Guide for the content contributors, and content entry...and re-entry :) Out of all that, about a week and a half to two weeks in elapsed time was spent to research, learn and apply FarCry for the first time (including MySql which I hadn't used before) and deploy it to a production server. Of all the things in Farcy, I spent the most time with: installation when initially trying to use a stand alone server, Navigation (I tried a few options here), Deployment to the production Server (had some problems here with case sensitiveness in MySql on a Linux server). Keep in mine I am not overly technical.. a jack of all trades master of? If I had to do it again, the FarCry shell would be far far less in time.... in fact it will dramatically save me time for another site like this one, which is why I like it so much!

Very nice site.
Out of interest, how long did it take from installation of farcry, thru development to deployment of the final site?
Craig.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]-->Hi all<!--[endif]--> We have just finished a new site using FarCry for the first time: http://www.orange.nsw.gov.au/ <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]-->Many thanks to Daemon for creating a great product and making it open source. Also thanks to the FarCry development community, the posts on the FarCry Dev list helped tremendously… <!--[endif]--> The site is really “out of the box” FarCry, but with our design… It is successfully hosted with http://www.austiger.com <http://www.austiger.com/> in a shared environment.
Cheers
Helen
