Yes. There are several -- one of which is a client of ours, although they don't have content beyond 4000 per field.

Well you could tell Oracle to increase the size of the field.
If someone could confirm that it's simply the size allocated during the running of the creation scripts then we can easily fix the problem by just modding the creation scripts.
