Is it possible to add a customised / derived type to the navigation tree? so instead of adding dmHTML I could add myHTML
If the purpose of your custom type is to replace dmHTML then you would be better off just extending dmHTML (i.e. not setting all the other attributes for the cfcomponent tag) instead of creating another tree-enabled custom type.
If it's not replacing dmHTML then yeah, as Brendan said, just use bUseInTree=1.
