[farcry-dev] Image Magick (Optimize images from the CMS)

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to try using the open source 
program Image Magick (http://www.imagemagick.org/) to optimize and 
resize images in FarCry? It will allow the user to upload just about any 
format (.jpg,.psd,.bmp, etc. 
http://www.imagemagick.com/www/formats.html) and convert it to .jpg (or 
whatever you want).

This would allow the server to keep a high quality version of the image 
in the image repository while optimizing the outputted version on the 
website (same with thumbnails).

The program has hundreds of features (like being able to create 
roll-over images and stuff right from the CMS), but I think the only 
feature we'd really need is the resize and optimize (and support for 
converting almost any image format).

On their website is a link to a CF Custom tag someone wrote to interact 
with the program (Click on the link titled API).  But I'm guessing the 
modifications may be a bit much to get the program to work with FarCry.

Any thoughts?
