so your url is going to be http://www.whatever.com/farcry_test?

when you did the install did you set the application mapping to / or to /farcry_test?

if your url is to be www.whatever.com/ (without the farcry_test) i'd say your mapping should be:

/ mapped to  "/var/www/html/farcry_test/www"

i could be wrong, but I think the second one should be:
Alias /farcry_test "/var/www/html/farcry_test/www

I believe so....my apache conf looks like this:

 Alias /farcry "/var/www/html/farcry_core/admin"
    Alias /farcry_test "/var/www/html/farcry_test"

do you have the two web server mappings in place?
one for /farcry and the second the folder the CMS will be in?

My first guess would be that you dont have the second mapping done.

Subject: [farcry-dev] Application.cfm template not found

    Hi Guys

Just completed a new install of FarCry and getting an error stating that the application.cfm template could not be found. I had condcuted a number of installs previously and things had gone wrong, so I had deleted all database tables and sequences and reinstalled, this time where I get to completion and press login on the install page. This is where it goes cactus.

I have perused the list archives and the only reference I can find is to ensure the apps.cfm file is correct...and it seemingly is. Is there anywhere else I should be looking?

    Thanks
