Picking up from the extension manager in the typo 3 thread, is there s any documentation on how to package up work so it can be easily shared with others, or even to facilitate moving form development to production server. Something along the lines of install program for farCry updates.

I am pretty new to this to date and most of my customisation is based on moving a core type to my application, makes some mods, then lots of iterations of crash and fix, crash and copy some more core files, test and crash, debug and test and eventually I get what I am after. At that point I have forgotten what the first that I need to copy to the live server, so the cycle starts again. Probably says more about my development approach and lack of documenting what I am doing that anything.

So basically, what I would like to know is what is the best way to distribute components for easy installation. Sorry for the ramble.
