I'm not sure of the new html editor your talking about, but FCKEditor is
visually easier on the eyes.  It has a built in spell checker that
soeditor lite doesn't have packaged unless you buy the pro version.  I
have ecktron's ewebeditpro v3.x running for test purposes and it is too
complex to modify for a simple css style include.  What I like about
FCKEditor is it is quick loading, simple, and easy to add new css styles. 
Lastly it's open-source (FREE!).
