You can use the q4:contentobjectget, for example:
<cfif stobj.teaserImage is not "">
<q4:contentobjectget objectid="#stobj.teaserImage#" r_stobject="teaserObj">
/images/#teaserObj.thumbnail#
</cfif>

I have got a problem with teaserImage of dmNews. I cant show the Image.
I have success with dmFact Image like
<img src="#application.url.webroot#/images/#stobj.image#">
But the dmNews TeaserImage dont work like this:
<IMG src="#application.url.webroot#/images/#stObj.teaserImage#">
I dropped the dmNewsObj. Scope and the name for the TeaserImage is teaserImage.
My FarCry built details are: FarCry: b210 FourQ: b120
