Hi, I've carefully followed the installation instuctions for my system (CFMX 6.1 on WIndows 2000 Server with MSDE) with the default IIS mappings setup and the the single CF mapping to /farcry setup using the default c:\inetpub\applications setting.
Everything seems to be setup okay in that I can surf to http://www.ourdomain.com/farcry/ and get the login screen and surf to www.ourdomain.com/appname/ to see the default application page. However,whenever I try to log in using the default 'farcry / farcry' username and password, the admin page locks as it tries to redirect to /farcry/index.cfm? . I've checked the database and the user record is setup correctly. I've even tried wrong authentication information to check the login routine is comparing what's typed in with the data in the user table which it is. It just seems to never get to the index.cfm page. I cannot think where else to look. The app is setup properly from what I can see . The apps.cfm is correct. The Serverspecificvars.cfm has the correct settings in in and the IIS and CF Admin mappings are setup as specified. Can anyone help me solve this frustration!
