I would really like to modify the start PLP step so you can enter dates with a pop-up calendar rather than play with all the select menus. Has any one tried this before?
Absolutely. FarCry is designed to have its core types extended.
What files do I need to create or edit so I make can make the improvement without altering the core code? A little guidance would be so helpful.
There was a recent post on just this very thing. try searching for "Extending dmHTML" on one of the mail archives. eg. http://www.mail-archive.com/farcry-dev%40lists.daemon.com.au/
If you come up with something interesting, pass it on. You never know it might get included as part of the standard library -- improvements are always welcome.
