PS. We've been planning to overhaul Aura for a while but I think Ben is working on new and improved Lava templates ;)

Recently I was making some adjustments to the search template with Farcry (called _search.cfm). Nothing too fancy, but easily replacable into any farcry site still using the search form provided in the Aura template. I got the idea from a Verity Ultraseek layout I was using. It is done with just a few modifications of layout and stylesheets (for this template I just made the styles directly in the file so that anyone could use it without having to modify their .css file. They can easily make changes to this file to have the look and feel of their own Farcry website).
Below I have two example links. The first one is an Intranet site I am using it on and the second link is the same site using the default Aura layout. If anyone is interested in this new search file let me know. I only need to make a couple small modifications (to make it easy to just overwrite the current _search.cfm or use a different name like _search2.cfm and place it in the "<farcry_project>/includedObj" folder).
1. Layout using a project I'm working on: http://www.jeffcoughlin.com/images/tutorials/farcry_search2.jpg (185kb)
2. Layout using default Aura (same content/results): http://www.jeffcoughlin.com/images/tutorials/farcry_search1.jpg (146kb)
(I may only have these images online for a couple weeks. Sorry to people reading this in the future).
Note: The page numbers at the bottom are a custom tag I'm using (available on my website). The example in the screenshots is a newer version I'm working on (not currently available on my website) which fixes a couple bugs (minor) and integrates into Farcry nicely. This is the part I was going to remove from the search template, however if people want it I can include it.
The search code itself is still the same (thx to Geoff Bowers).
