Hi Andrew,

That's how I've setup the images for our dmHTML objects. So far it's been working fine and the file upload code was greatly simplified. I thought I would just limit to dmHTML for now to see how it works, but so far so good.

Would it be a good idea to name image and files on the server by their
object ID rather that it's upload file name?

This would simplify naming conflicts and files been overwritten; and
maybe even allow for file and image versioning.

All file and images are uploaded to a common folder on the server, so
it is currently possible that two articles may upload different images
with the same file name. Rather than making the user have to rename
their file (if they can work ou the error message) and try again, just
give the file the object id as a name. The title is used to identify
it to the user - the default could be the client file name if they do
not enter anything??

Is this a good idea?
Or is there some thinking behind the current solution?
