Cheers Jeff, Sleep? It's only 3 o'clock in the afternoon :-)
I have attached a FireFox PR screenshot of the layout from my test environment (it looks the same in IE6). [NB: This development site is not using the aura template]. The CSS formatting went out the window with the cut-n-paste to Outlook :-( cheers David -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Coughlin [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, September 22, 2004 2:26 PM To: FarCry Developers Subject: [farcry-dev] Re: First Cut of CSS for Jeff's new search template Whiterod, David (DTUP) wrote: > Hi, > > Without stepping on any toes (I hope) I have made a first attempt at a CSS > version of Jeff's new search template. I tried it out and things were all out of whack. Although its late and I'm falling asleep at the PC. So I wont actually be looking at the code tonight. To test it real quick I copied over your styles into my .css and replaced the _search.cfm file. Before I jump the gun and say its not displaying correctly, perhaps someone else here can take a look at it and see if the code works for them (I must sleep now). Thanks for working with this. I would have likely done it this weekend if no one else had taken a look at it by then (I am booked solid with work all week (day and night)). Regards, Jeff C. btw: I just peaked inside both the _search.cfm and the stylesheet. Would it be alright if you could line-up your opening and closing tags? Whether you choose to use [tabs] to indent like Daemon does or indent with spaces either is fine for me. Its just easier to read the code when lined up. I ended up using ctrl+m on each <tag></tag>. (Lining up tags doesn't apply when you're trying to save whitespace - example: <cfoutput></tr></td></table></cfoutput>). That paragraph wasn't meant to sound rude (even though it does after I just re-read it). I really do appreciate you taking the effort to replace the tables with well-formed stylesheets. --- You are currently subscribed to farcry-dev as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Aussie Macromedia Developers: http://lists.daemon.com.au/
