Subject: [farcry-dev] Should I use Farcry for a blog-farm?
Dear All,
My problem is this.
I want to create a blog-farm for sports fans. The blog-farm will be a
branded supersite and will contain custom navigation, polls, forums etc
which are available for the sports fans to use. The revenue model is
subscription/advertising.
The key requirements are
* fans should be able to sign up and the System shall create them a blog
and a user account.
* custom content like polls, forums etc can easily be inserted by the
user.
* static content like navigation, adverts etc cannot be changed by the
user.
I see 3 options;
* use Farcry
* use CF-Nuke and tweak it.
* use an CF blog application and tweak it.
* write my own Fusebox 4 application.
Could you kind reader advise me whether Farcry is suited for this problem?
What are its strengths and weaknesses.
:)
Many thanks,
James
