Hi Tom, I'm the client who made the mistake of deleting some crucial folders in the root of my site. Neil was kind enough to post the first message so the situation could be clearly stated.
I did try the method you suggested for restoring the site tab, but that didn't fix it. One this it did do was to temporarily restore the main window to the right (with the legend), but that dissappears once I click on any other tabs and then click back on the site tab. Right now the site and content tabs yield error messages in that left most window. If you need any clarification of what is happening, I can post screen captures or confirm settings in the code.
