would be nice to have an checkbox within the content wizards to say, do not index this object
It's not a bad suggestion and certainly something that has come up several times.
background I don't want some pages or facts to be found within the search interface because I want to display them only as additional information within an container at an specific template with an specific page object selected with the handpicked rule. I don't want the vistor can find this object using the search interface and calls the object directly. I will create a workaround for this but it maybe could be an nice improvement?
There are two things that we'd like to do here: - exclude single pages - exclude branches of content
Perhaps we need a new system attribute in types.cfc like "bIndex"
that flags whether or not an object should be included in a free-text search. Coupled with some tree tools to flag entire branches at once.
How is the weather in down under? Regards from the rainy Munich
Very wet here in Sydney too!
