Andrew,

If you can.. break these into specific issues and send an individual email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for each.

When you click on an authorised navigation node the overview options
when logged in as site/sys admin are:
    Send object back to draft
    Send branch back to draft
There are no edit options for a Contibutor.

This is essentially an issue with the default handlers for objects that have versioning being applied to an object that does not. There is no versioning turned on for the navigation node itself.

When you right click the nav node, the pop up menu has and edit
option. Selecting this options takes you stright into edit and you can
save the change!

If you sent a navigation node to DRAFT before editing you would remove it (and its entire branch) from the website. We've generally considered the versioning of dmNAvigation objects to be unecessary.

If you right click and select edit for dmHTML, the overview plane has:
You may not edit approved objects and then options to Create an editable draft version or Send this
object to draft

Again dmHTML has versioning implemented.

An include object that has been approved can be editted from the menu
option too.

Include objects do not have versioning implemented. Its considered unecessary because the include object is really an embedded program and not content per se.

For objects that a user does not have and edit/create/aprove type
permissions, the overview plance has the following options
    Approve the object yourself
    Approve branch yourself
but the menu doesnt - correct this time.

Well this is definitely wrong. Can you infact approve the object or does it throw an error?

Another thing is the move option appears for items you can not edit.

Move between branches is supposed to only be allowed if you can create in both the start and end points. I'm not sure what a positional move between siblings is restricted to if at all.

All of these finer details are important to record individually cos generally they are things that need to be knocked off as part of a general cleanup.. going through the issue database is much easier than trying to remember what was in emails :) Thanks again.
