We've built a site for a client using FarCry and to accommodate the training courses they were running, extended the dmEvent item to include a cost (very nice :-) ).
For any one course, the content is the same but they run it in different locations and different days. They enter the course details into the Body of the item using the soEditor. Having used the site for a bit, they've come back and asked if we could add a "Copy" button, next to the "Add", "Delete", etc buttons, so they could create one course, complete with all it's information, and then duplicate it as needed and only have to edit the location and dates of each cloned event. I've looked at the methods for the object from the extended object all the way up to farcry.fourq.fourq and can't see a copy() or duplicate() method. Is there an elegant way of adding this feature that builds on something that already exists within FarCry, or will I have to hack around in the core (which we've already done for another feature, loathed as I am to do so).
