Okay, realizing all are likely off for much needed Christmas vacations,
I opted to upgrade my current installation, after backing up fourq and the core, plus the sql files, proceeded with the update. I use a linux
server and edit using browsers under mac osx.

The HTMLarea never worked in any of the five browsers for mac, and I know it does under IE 6 on Windows. Now it does work, but with some diffuculty. Under Safari, I know you guys can't support v. 1.3, Firefox works, but some strange things occur to the code, namely with spaces.

I tend to build my html
in Dreamweaver MX and paste that into farcry, and I know it's a little dodgy sometimes. Strict tables seem to work okay however, but now it seems the support for cell background colors is gone, and the code rendered ended up just being plain text. It could be my fault as I did include some style info in before the body tags, but this works fine under Farcry 2.2, so I may need to stay with that for now. I am curious about the mirroring reflection function.

I assume this config allows for making containers unique for each page, but there are no options other than "no refection". I suppose this is a future mod though in the works.

Great idea though. One other problem is my xml newsfeeds no longer work under the upgrade, not sure why, but the browser never makes the call out for them. I checked to make sure the rules were still in place in the containers, and they were.

I'm stuck for now, but I must figure out a way to test this upgrade further without risk to the other site, as that is live.

Hi group. This is my first post here and first off I must commend you folks at daemon for your fine cms system. It's a bit of a challange for me however because of the constant macintosh browser issues, but beyond that I am happily running my site under Fedora Core 3 using Apache 2.0.52

My question has been addressed here before and I see there are only two
rather extensive choices. How do you you run separate instances of the
farcry root under one server. As all the applications refer to the root
dir as /farcry/ and you can't have two separate logical mappings under
cfmx, is the only resolution either to:

1. edit every application.cfm and rewrite the directory to /myfarcrysite/
2. Run a separate instance of cfmx, separate IP, separate apache
application, etc.

I am eager to test drive the new 1.23 but lack a separate linux box to
do it on. My mac would be a fine testing ground, however I have not yet
been successful at installing cfmx on it. The installer has issues, well
documented at macromedia, but so far unresolved. Sorry to waste more
bandwidth on this issue, but I would like to try the new system out
before migrating my site over to it. Any input is appreciated.
