What html editor are you using? If you are using soeditor it tends to ignore special characters.
actually it shouldn't. when we swapped to unicode (not sure what version but before 2.3) that was the editor i was using to run thru my unicode testbed & it worked ok then. might have an issue with a box's fonts not supporting some unicode codepoint ranges but shouldn't be an issue for the latin-1 stuff. which now makes me wonder what farcry version was used.
