Hi everyone. I have a "should we do this question" for Farcry gurus.
We're building an application portal and likely to use farcry for the usual site content. Very basic so no conceptual issues there. However... One of our requirements is for our users to have their own customisable web page. Here they can basically put whatever they like, very much like a blog but also a cross over to something similar to MSN's Spaces. So content could include journal, event calendar, photos and all the other usual stuff. Users belong to groups so there is additionally content that is moderated by a group leader and available on that user's web page. >From a functionality point of view each user needs to be authenticated within the app, have their own admin page and conditionally include group content on their page. I know I haven't explained this in anywhere enough detail but I guess what I am really asking is whether people think Farcry could be a solution versus rolling a new application. Putting resource issues aside can Farcry be customised to meet the requirement or is it a case of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. I should mention that the user base is around 800. Thoughts and suggestions?
