We have recently built a CRM and it runs in a FarCry framework
(although it only uses the Navigation and Permission facilities
(everything is purpose built). It does not use any FarCry types.

However, it is PURPOSE built. So it isn't suitable for use by anyone
except our company (or possibly people in our industry - i.e.
Stockbroking).

We decided to build our own CRM because the "generic" packages just
don't handle what we want.

Our investigations also showed that the generic CRM boom is now
considered a bit of a dead-end and more and more companies are
choosing to build their own for the same reasons we did.

Our CRM is basically an application within an application. With very
little change we could migrate it to another framework (like Mach-II -
for example) and it would still work.

So - my advice would be "Build your own CRM".

A comment from a core user just yesterday.....

"We would never have gotten something as flexible as this if we had
bought it off-the-shelf".

Regards,
Gary Menzel
