not to me it's not. is RSS defined as ASCII only? wouldn't this shoot the toes off any i18n feeds?
Yeah... you're prolly right :) Still, we need something more elegant than a list of replacements. Is there a defined range of characters we can look to replace? All we really need is a regex that matches for a list of nasty characters -- but how to find that list succinctly?
