We run our whole site on HTTPS (enforced by our load balancer). I dont know that the cookies used to establish a SESSION would be impacted by switching between HTTP and HTTPS. That really isn't a function of the CFMX Server in any case (but - in the scenario you present - is the responsibility of IIS).
