Hello.
I'm considering trying to set up Farcry in my shared hosting
environment, under linux/apache. I was wondering if any of you might
have some experience with this type of configuration, and if there are
any issues that I might need to be aware of. By shared hosting
environment I mean that they are making use of host header names, ..
where I don't have my own static IP address, but the server knows which
virtual directory to resolve to based on the incoming domain name
request.
What I'm most concerned about is that I have no control over the naming of my MySQL datasource. The datasource name is already set, and can NOT be changed. Will I still be able to install Farcry in this type of environment, and if so, is any special configuration required? Thanks! - yvan |
