Claudio, I'm certainly no expert in either farcry or coldfusion. As evidenced by my many posts asking for help. However, it sound to me like you just need to extend the dmHTML type. I came very close several time to giving up on the system as well. I spent days trying to follow all of the includes and paths and all the stuff you just talked about. Bottom line is learn how to use the system as it is first then modify it how you need to. As you build, things will start to make more sense and as you read posts to the group on a variety of subjects it will all start to fit together. As someone that need to know the ins and outs of everything before I feel I can function I know where your coming from but there are some great really intelligent people that put this system together and it works well. Just jump in get your feet wet. I have successfully extend core components and created custom types now and it really does get easier.
