Emailed NewAtlanta and recieved the following, thought I'd pass it back here.
I think you've been misinformed. BlueDragon Server is here to stay.
Enjoy, Dan

Subject: [BlueDragon] Free Edition Question
Last weekend I made significant progress on getting FarCry supported under BD 6.2. I happen to think that this is a very good thing in regards to how BD can handle CFML, since FarCry is the largest 'test' platform in the public domain. So I made a mention during a roadmap discussion on FarCry-dev this morning and came across some info during a response from Ken Ferguson that I would be curious if it could be cleared up for my benefit.
"I just went searching through old emails and was unable to find it, but
I was told by a couple of guys at New Atlanta that BD will not have a
free version for much longer. While migrating some apps to BD last Nov,
I spent a lot of time on the BD mailing list and in contact with New
Atlanta working out some problems and the subject came up about using
the free version. They told me, at the time, that the free version was
going away sometime soon.
I haven't heard anything else since then and I've not been using BD
since early last Dec, but keep that in mind if you're planning on moving
to BD to save money.

Now I am on JX so this doesn't directly have consequences for me. However, It kinda puts a dent into what I'm working to accomplish. So in regards to the free version, where do we stand? Obviously it's here to stay in 6.2, but after that?

Just out of interest, and something for Daemon to monitor, how many people would like to be able to run farCry over blueDragon?
