Has anyone extended FarCry standard types in version 2.3? How did you deal with the admin_<some language>.properties?
you'll need to add the new rb keys to the rb files (besides adding to the app code).
Ok, seems I triggered a discussion about the rb functionality among the experts here.
Perhaps I need to make myself clear: FarCry 2.3 comes with one admin.properties file and - among others - an admin_en_US.properties file.
Until FarCry 2.2, extending core types was easy: Copy the CFC in question into your application/packages directory, extend the property list, recode the UI masks, and you were done.
Now, all FarCry core types take their form labels from the rb package (thanks, Paul!) which is fine. But: Shall I "hardcode" my changes in the CFC method files which means that they are available in one langauge only? Shall I extend all admin_<language>.properties files in the languages? (Which means touching the core, normally labeled with a big "No, no!")
Until now I got the impression that extending the rb properties files and keeping the changes when updating to the next FarCry version is an unsolved problem...
Any suggestions?
Thomas
