I have tried changing the page encoding to utf-8 but that doesn't seem to be enough as the editor soEditor Lite 2.5 doesn't seem to save the charachers correctly.
SOEditor Lite is not the most appropriate editor for multi-lingual work. But please see below.
i think we removed pretty much all the i18n obstacles in farcry code a couple of versions ago. what db? what driver? if it's ODBC swap to JDBC
& you should be good to go.
The database is MySQL (I don't know if it is ODBC or not).
The database in question is mySQL 4.1 running JDBC (as you may already be aware from earlier correspondence).
The site is hosted by Daemon on one of their own servers. I would have expected that all to be set up right, particularly as they built the site for us in the first place and now host it.
You would be correct -- the site is correctly set up. You may have better luck with the default administration installation once it is upgraded to 2.3. As you are aware the server is running version 2.2.
Perhaps this is a conversation better had offline.
