Hi,

I've launched my first public FarCry site - The Atlas of South Australia.

As Jens said the other day, many thanks to the Daemon crew and the others on
the farcry-dev list.

If you're interested, here are some specifics.

The Atlas is a wrapper for a online GIS application (ESRI's ArcIMS
controlled via CF) that allows you to make dynamic maps. There are over 150
data layers (organised into categories and map topics).

The mapping application is not part of the FC app. The Mapping app pulls GIS
data from a DB of around 500Gb in size. [There are plans to re-develop the
mapping interface to increase its CSSness and decrease its Frameness!].

The FarCry specifics are:

Development time: 6 Months (1 developer)
Extensive use of buildLink (I love this tag!)
skin:cache for navigation, sitemaps map and the skip link parts.
User Memberships (I'm just trying to fix a minor bug in my "Remember Me"
code)
FriendlyURLs, qForms, Custom types (expanded profile items and the ability
to add related links to include objects)

farcry_core: 2.3 (patched)
fourq: b123
Windows 2000, IIS, CFMX 7, SQLServer

I have added a "Search the Atlas with FireFox" (the link is only shown - in
the footer - if you're using a non-IE browser. This adds the Atlas as a
search engine in the FireFox search bar.

The Flash menu (using Beam Jive's excellent menu components) gets its
information from a CF-generated XML file. (there is one small issue with the
width of the menu clipping off the last category).

Thanks again!

cheers
