I haven't used this functionality, (and I'm probably stating the obvious) but you would mostly be able to do any print formatting you want using a CSS print style sheet. This has all sorts of advantages like you dont need to refresh the page etc.
Is there anything you need to do that would not be covered by this? Also you could just open the same link with "printfriendly=1" at the end of the query string on the url. Then in your webskin just output certain things when you want to print.
