fwiw a couple of days ago i downloaded the 2.3.0 release then
overlayed it with the 2.3.1 milestone then the 2.3.2 milestone over
that.

everything installed bootifully.

i may not have needed the 2.3.1 milestone but i was in a hurry and i
didn't have time to see/ask if everything from 2.3 1 was in 2.3.2
(though i expect it was).
