Yes. It is possible with user group security. There are a few ways to
handle this.
Try this one to see if it's what you're after:
1. Create a *user group* and assign it rights as needed (policies and
permissions)
2. Create a *user* and assign it to this group *only* (just for this test)
3. Go to the site tree and right-click on the nested node you want them
to be able to see. Choose permissions, then the new group.
4. Assign the new group to that node (with whatever permissions you'd
like. Make sure view is set to true).
Try that out and see if its the goal you're after.
Note: I'm doing this from memory and might have missed something
(hopefully someone will correct me if I have).
