Hi, Programs that uses numerals for calculations (such as MS Excel), know only latin digits (U+0030 to U+0039) as well as they know U+002D as minus or subtraction sign and so on. So if you enter for example U+06F1 into those programs, they accept that as a regular character not a number. This is why you can select different shapes of digits in Control Panel.
By the way, if you are serious to use Farsi shape of digits instead of their latin forms, I can add these shapes to TrayLayout program. P.S. After about ten years of experiences in Windows file patching, I believe that using tools to correct problems on-the-fly in Windows is much better than replacing for keeping them up-to-date. For example you should do patches, everytime you install a service pack or something like that.
