Dear PSA Members,
For sure, most of you have encountered Farsi web pages on the net, and when you've seen those pages rendered correctly (or may be with some errors ;) ) asked yourselves: "who probably is behind all these?" well the last thing came to my mind was: maybe Microsoft!, or maybe some international organization is kind to take care of our language!? those of you who like KDE or GNOME or prefer Netscape/Mozilla or Konqueror must be amazed with the growing level of their Farsi capabilities ... any way, there are some activities going on, mostly hosted by Sharif Univ to deal with Unicode standards on Farsi language, and helping open source projects to handle Farsi language better. I thought you might be interested to take a look and may be you come up with a way to participate. you can find FarsiWeb site at: http://www.farsiweb.info/ which has links to recent Farsi Standard in Unicode: http://www.farsiweb.info/standard/ they've recommended a way to help: http://www.farsiweb.info/books.html there are interesting mailing lists to subscribe, the main page of mailing lists can be reached via: http://lists.sharif.edu/mailman/listinfo the mailing lists you might find more appropriate are: FarsiWeb FarsiKDE PersianComputing I also encourage you to take a look in the mailing archives, to get motivated to participate. I think psa-members have a lot of potentials to help, what do you think? Cheers Sina. _______________________________________________ FarsiWeb mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.sharif.edu/mailman/listinfo/farsiweb
