Hi, Alan,

FastBit is employing a poor algorithm to compute the sums right now,
and it requires a lot of memory. In your particular case, you might
want to break the query into a number of smaller pieces, for example,
by IPV4_SRC_ADDR ranges with something like

ibis -d . -q "select sum(in_bytes), ipv4_src_addr, ipv4_dst_addr where
in_bytes > 0 && ipv4_src_addr < 1e8"
ibis -d . -q "select sum(in_bytes), ipv4_src_addr, ipv4_dst_addr where
in_bytes > 0 && 1e8 <= ipv4_src_addr < 2e8"

Note that you probably want to bin the IP addresses somehow.

John
