Hello John, I am following your discussion with Dominique with great interest, and I am happy to see that string handling in Fastbit is now as fast as other types.
About bundles and sorting RIDs, I understand that it's not necessary ... You suggest to put a conditional macro around the RIDs sorting code which seems fine for most users. But since the use of the sorted RIDs can be very usefull in some cases, wouldn't it be better to let the option to generate the rids as a boolean parameter in the bundle constructor ? BTW I noticed recently that the bundle constructor that take a partition as parameter (in bundle1 and bundles) is not generating the RIDs ...
