Julius, I tested some of the faust-vst sample plugins (both effects and
instruments) with VSTAU Manager in Reaper and Tracktion, they all seemed to
work fine. There are some limitations, however. The AU plugins generated by
VSTAU Manager are 32 bit only, so not directly usable with 64 bit hosts
like Logic Pro X, and the generated AU instruments only take input from the
first MIDI channel (this can be worked around with the appropriate
filtering and/or routing of MIDI events, of course, but it's still
annoying).

The sources of the program are on github, though, and they even compile
with the latest Xcode after some twiddling, so someone with enough time and
Objective C knowledge might fix that up. ;-)
