you please explain how can I use this new test-case to check if the faust
compiler simplifies the code correctly?

I see that the next commit adds

        tests/impulse-tests/reference/math_simp.ir

but I guess it can only help to ensure that the output is correct ?
I mean, it can't help to ensure that, for example,

        process(x) = -x;

doesn't compile to something like

        output0[i0] = FAUSTFLOAT(-1.0f * float(input0[i0]));

right?
